A twenty-eight year veteran of the entertainment industry, Daniel Emery Taylor is best known as Darryl from the 1988 sci-fi cult classic The Return of Swamp Thing. The sequel to Wes Craven's original film finds the DC Comics superhero again battling the evil Dr. Arcane (Louis Jourdan) and vying for the affection of Arcane's stepdaughter Abigail (Heather Locklear). Darryl and his friend Omar (RonReaco Lee) constantly find themselves in trouble. Luckily, Swampy has a tendency of saving the day!

From there, Daniel did several television appearances (including In the Heat of the Night and the critically acclaimed I'll Fly Away) before finding himself in the 2000 Dreamworks comedy Road Trip opposite comedy stars Tom Green and Ethan Suplee.

In 2012, Daniel decided to branch out into making his own films and co-founded Deviant Pictures. Their inaugural project, The Hospital, is currently available from most online retailers and video-on-demand services. A controversial film from the beginning, The Hospital rocked audiences with its visceral content and taboo subject matter. Worldwide, the film played several international festivals including the prestigious Festival de Cannes before being banned by the Bulgarian government and pulled off of the shelves of retailer Tesco in the United Kingdom.

Their second project, comedy-horror Camp Massacre, was released on DVD on May 19 of this year. Camp Massacre was written, produced, and co-directed by Daniel and starred Bree Olson (Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Human Centipede III), Dick Warlock (Halloween II), and Al Snow (WWE legend). Leaving Deviant Pictures behind, Daniel formed Debtor Entertainment to focus more on a variety of projects that he felt would be more indicative of where he is going as an artist. His first project, a quirky dramatic short called "Flowerskirt" films in early July with a projected 2016 release.
