Who remembers characters such as "Pie Face", "Egg Fu", "Chop Chop", "Go Go Gomez", and "He-She" -- or worst of all the Red Skulls version of Sam Wilson? Many would like to forget these terrible racial, ethnic, and social stereotypes ever existed, but showing why they came to be and how the public reacted to them is important in understanding how comic books grew and changed along with public opinion. There will be a large section devoted to discussion at the end to talk about other little known or obscure characters that fall under this category.
